What you get
Sony ACID Pro 7 combines full multitrack recording and mixing, complete
MIDI sequencing, and legendary loop manipulation for seamless music
creation and post production. Get up and running quickly with new
interactive tutorials. Other new features include a dedicated mixing
console, MIDI track freeze, input busses, tempo curves, and enhanced
format support. ACID Pro 7 software includes over 3,000 loops and 1,000
MIDI files for music creation, as well as the Garritan ARIA for ACID
Pro player, the ACID Pro Effects Rack powerered by iZotope, Native
Instruments Guitar Combos, and Submersible Music KitCore.
Professional multitracking and MIDI
For uncompromising 24-bit/192kHz sound quality production live or in
studio, ACID Pro 7 software has an expanded set of features for maximum
audio performance. Whether users are recording in the studio or
creating MIDI-based studio sequences, ACID Pro 7 software is the
optimal platform for reliable multitrack production. MIDI has been
bolstered in ACID Pro 7, as well, with real time MIDI processing and
precise control over MIDI events. Use track envelopes to automate and
modify MIDI controller data over time. Other features let users apply
real time MIDI quantization, create drum patterns, edit MIDI event
lists, and step record. ACID Pro 7 users can freeze MIDI tracks that
are routed to multiple soft synths and render them as .wav files to
save CPU processing power and increase productivity during a session.
Mixing and editing
ACID Pro 7 software has a dedicated mixing console for a flexible and
efficient recording environment. Specify routing, assign audio effects,
and use external effects processors with tracks and busses. ACID Pro 7
software also supports control surface automation and channel tracking
for devices such as the Mackie Control and Frontier Design TranzPort.
The new mixing console visually represents audio signals in a project
and provides additional routing options. This allows for a more
flexible and efficient in-studio recording environment. The mixing
console provides an integrated view of all tracks and busses in an ACID
Pro project with the appearance of a traditional hardware-based mixer.
Loop-based creation
ACID Pro 7 software has all the core features found in previous
versions: automatic pitch and tempo matching, real time loop
previewing, unlimited tracks, and our signature pick/paint/play
interface. ACID Pro 7 software also includes over 3,000 ACIDized loops
and 1,000 MIDI files so users can start creating music right out of the
box. Transform loops and MIDI tracks into fresh, new sounds with
powerful quantization tools. Use the Chopper window to create drum
fills, stutters, and DJ-style effects. Remix songs with standard or
multiple tempos with the Beatmapper remix tool. Further manipulate
loops with real time event reverse and freehand envelope drawing.
