Bitwig Studio : is a multi-platform music-creation system for
production, remixing and performance with a focus on flexible editing
tools and a super-fast workflow.
Bitwig Studio has been designed to take some of the best aspects from
music software tools of past and present and combine them to create a
next-generation music production and performance platform.
The line between production and performance has become blurred in the
past decade thanks to innovative software environments that allow you
to do both, and performance-oriented features have become an essential
part of many musicians’ production workflow. Bitwig Studio takes this
“performance DAW” concept to another level–it’s a music production
environment that allows you to assemble your music thru real-time
- Intelligent time-stretching that fits musical parts to a given BPM
- A layered editing mode that allows you to see the MIDI data for multiple clips simultaneously for easier editing
- The ability to bounce audio in place–you can highlight a MIDI or
audio clip and print it with or without effects as audio (generally to
save on CPU resources)
- A plug-in crash protection mechanism that prevents the whole program from going down just because one dodgy plug-in crashes
- Audio editing both within single clips as well as on the arrangement timeline
- The ability to run 32-bit plug-ins within a 64-bit project
- Multi monitor support
Record and produce your music in a super-fast, intuitive workflow.
Bitwig Studio's arranger is a perfect mix of editing power, ease of use and flexibility.

recorded and packaged inside clips, both on the clip launcher and the
Advanced Instrument Clips featuring clip- and track-based editing, event
inspector with parameter histograms, assignable note expressions, and
per-note micro-pitch control.
Audio clips can consist of multiple audio events and feature Bitwig's
own time stretching and transient detection. Split and rearrange audio
events automatically, based on transient detection, and utilise the same
parameter histograms and clip/track-based editing as with instrument
Edit contents of multiple tracks together. You can see them all juxtaposed and isolate only the ones you want to edit.

material to be used in the drum machine or sampler.
