RME ADI2 Pro - is a two channel 24-bit / 768kHz AD/DA converter and USB 2 Digital Audio Converter, audio interface and high-end headphone amp.
The RME ADI-2 Pro uses only the best components throughout its half size rack and features RME’s new Plug & Play concept which automatically sets the ADI-2 in the correct mode (AD/DA, audio interface or analogue preamp) depending on the connection used.
Connectivity includes two servo-balanced analogue combo XLR-1/4” jack inputs two separate balanced and unbalanced output and TRS as well as RME’s new Extreme Power headphone outputs which provide ample power and volume to all types of headphones no matter the impedance. Optical and coaxial S/PDIF are provided as well as AES I/O available via breakout cable making the ADI-2 Pro extremely flexible.
The fully compliant USB 2 connector is compatible with IOS devices and is used for firmware updates. Designed for mobile recordings, the ADI-2 can be powered by an external switched power-supply, which can battery powered if required.
New converters have been used with RME’s own FGPA-based core allowing for sample rates up to 768kHz. An Integrated Sample Rate converter takes care of clocking issues between S/PDIF and AES thanks to RME’s latest SteadyClock III technology.
A high resolution display gives access to many unique features and DSP effects such as 5-band parametric EQ, binaural crossfeed, adjustable loudness filter, selectable AD/DA filters and four analogue reference levels. Additional features also include M/S processing, stereo width control and phase loop reversal as well as RME’s spectral analyser and 30-band bi-quad filtered analysis tool.
